Michael Sweet is an American musician best known as the co-founder, lead singer, and guitarist for the pioneering Christian rock band Stryper. He has also had a successful solo career, and was a guitarist and co-vocalist for the band BOSTON from 2007 to 2011. Stryper has sold over 10 million albums worldwide, making them a pioneering band in Christian metal with significant mainstream success. Their 1986 album, To Hell with the Devil, is a multi-platinum record and remains the best-selling Christian metal album of all time, according to some reports.
