FILMMAKING WORKSHOPS

Jason Campbell started JCFilms Studios with a deep desire to change the culture through inspiring movies and to help people of faith become more involved in filmmaking. JCFilms Studios has produced over 100 faith and family films, operates about two dozen JCFilms Studio satellite Production Clubs scattered around the world, and hosts its own streaming platform, JC+. He is a graduate from Liberty University and currently lives in West Virginia with his wife Heather and their five children.

HOW DO I START?

During this one-hour workshop, you learn the steps on how to start acting in Christian movies!  This intense workshop helps you not only understand the business but lays out a realistic plan for you to get more involved. This class offers personal attention to help you get to the next level. 

HOW TO FUNDRAISE FOR A FILM?

Funding is an important aspect in filmmaking.  Here you will learn helpful hints to help you along the way. Our goal during this one-hour workshop is to explore the different and creative avenues for you to budget and fund your first feature film. 

HOW TO START WRITING SCRIPTS?

Movie storytelling is so different.  Let’s explore these differences and discuss some of the key elements that make compelling faith films.  This one-hour workshop is an open discussion of creative ideas. 

HOW DO I SHOOT A FILM?

Light!  Camera!  Action!  Understanding production is so important in the journey.  During this one-hour workshop we will talk about the basics with a few industry experts. 

CHRISTIAN ACTING WORKSHOP.

Let’s have some fun and play a few improv games along with exploring a few techniques and diving into a realistic approach to becoming a faith-based actor. 

ANIMATION & MOTION CAPTURE WORKSHOPS

Michael Thoenes (Animation Producer) is the Managing Member of Brainy Pixel Productions, LLC where he creates animated children’s educational media such as “The PicTrain,” licensed to Trinity Broadcast Networks, and the “How to Draw and Paint,” YouTube Channel with over 50M views and 250K Subscribers. Previously, Michael worked as Animation Producer for Studio 125 Productions where he assembled a global team of animators to complete the direct-to-DVD cartoon “Me and Jessie D.” Michael has a passion for pulling people together to create animation.

Brannon Hollingsworth (Creative Director/Writer) was born to create. An author, speaker, poet, producer, publisher, game designer, content creator, script writer, art director, and unapologetic Christ-follower, Brannon is a passionate creator, teacher, and deacon of young adults who promotes family-oriented ministries. Brannon is a multi-award-wining director, producer, and screenwriter of Christian animation, the author or co-author of over a dozen novels, novellas, and short stories as well as the co-creator of a game that Forbes called “a clever idea well executed” and “excellent”. He serves joyously as the Chief Operations Officer and Chief Creative Officer for Brainy Pixel Productions, a Christian Animation/Production studio in north Alabama.
